Silkeborg Stigefabrik A/S was founded in 1948 and served for many years as one of several manufacturers of wooden ladders primarily for the Danish market.

In 2009 Silkeborg Stigefabrik A/S purchased by Avanti Stigefabrik A / S, and per. 1 January 2010, the two companies merged. Avanti Stigefabrik A/S was founded in 1885, and the merger was all plant activities moved to Silkeborg Stigefabrik modern facilities in Them near Silkeborg.

From the original fabrications of ladders in wood leads, Silkeborg Stigefabrik today has Denmark’s widest product range of ladders, scaffolding and speciality products. Silkeborg Stigefabrik is also Danish negotiating Altrex scaffolding rises from Günzburger Steigtechnik and mobile platforms.
